Fairchild to focus on enriched user experiences at MWC 2013

USA: Fairchild Semiconductor will focus on mobile innovation at Mobile World Congress (MWC), 25-28 February, 2013, in Hall 7, Booth 7I120 at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain.

As a mobile technology leader, Fairchild offers a full mobile portfolio, technical support, regional design teams, and a proven track record of meeting supply chain requirements. Fairchild is a supplier of choice, offering a broad range of application solutions for core power, battery management, RF power, USB detection, video and USB routing, and haptic drivers.

The company is committed to improving user experience through lower power consumption, extended battery life, and better on-the-go performance. Fairchild’s team of mobile experts will be demonstrating the company’s analog and power solutions and will also be conducting one-on-one customer meetings to discuss its full portfolio, as well as future technologies.

Fairchild’s mobile solutions:

High Voltage Charging: High voltage charging is needed to enable faster charge times. However, USB ports and cable connections limit available power. Plus, systems need to ensure safety and backwards compatibility to existing standards. The high voltage charging demo showcases how an end-to-end solution can be created to meet this challenge.

Haptics: Touch screen technology is a critical part of today’s mobile devices, so the haptic technology that drives these touch screens needs to provide fast response time while minimizing battery consumption. Fairchild’s FAH4830 haptic driver helps to overcome these challenges and enhance the end-user experience through excellent recognition and a user-friendly interface.

Fairchild Phone: Our smart phone demo platform incorporates up to 17 Fairchild solutions –  integrated USB switches, audio jack cross point switches, MHL switches, RF DC-DC, switching chargers –and other technologies in use in the mobile industry today. Visitors can easily see how Fairchild enhances the end-user experience through smart phone hardware design solutions.

RF Power: Mobile device designers are faced with changing standards and a need to increase battery life, and extend talk and data transmit time. This demo highlights Fairchild’s RF power management solutions for handsets and tablets that reduce power consumption in wireless-enabled mobile devices extending connection times by more than 60 minutes.

Core Power: Designed to meet power demands under all conditions, Fairchild’s core power solution demo will highlight the smallest 6.5A capable solution for powering advanced applications processors. With leading transient response to support dynamic loads, our core power solution enables maximum processing performance and optimal system power consumption.

Interactive Video: Look into almost any smart phone or tablet and you’ll see Fairchild Semiconductor. This interactive video series highlights our broad range of analog and power solutions, featuring detailed videos highlighting audio jack detection, USB port usage and power path solutions.
